A cress for every dish

Koppert Cress is specialized in micro vegetables, each with its own unique and surprising influence on the senses and therefor indispensable in your dish.

How it all started

Although the company was founded in 1988, the big growth and succes started in July 2002, when Rob Baan took over the company. Rob not only changed the name into Koppert Cress, but he also had his very own vision and motivation to bring the company to the next level. Taste became the driving force of Koppert Cress and now the assortment is fully defined by your needs, the ones of the chef!

In 2006 the location in Monster was expanded to 1,7 ha. Now the company is able to cope with the significant growth is has experienced the last couple of years and the growing interest in their product.

A cress for each dish

taste, smell, feeling or presentation, there’s a cress for every purpose. All cresses have their own distinctive taste and can give that finishing touch your dish needs. Whether you choose the Atsina cress with a beautiful sweet anise flavor, the Tahoon cress with its strong nutty flavor, the salty Salicornia cress or the cress it all started with, the Shiso purper, every single cress has its own unique flavor and should always be selected carefully to match with the right ingredients.

And the selection only gets bigger and bigger. The range is constantly moving and there’re always new products. At Rungis we have the entire range in stock and every single cress is stored and delivered in the way it is recommended. Some cresses will be kept warmer or cooler than others to provide them with the best taste and to deliver them as fresh as possible to your kitchen.
