Nectarines zijn heerlijk zoet en sappig. Het is eigenlijk het wat stevigere zusje van de perzik. Door de stevigheid is de nectarine ook beter om in blokjes te snijden en te verwerken in bijvoorbeeld salades. Nectarines kun je met schil en al opeten.
