In the field: Cerisa cherries, yellow cherries and Dutch apricots

Gert Jan’s choice in the field. This time we go the Land of Maas and Waal, where we visit Rob Janssen, the grower of our favorite cherries: the Cerisa. We also take a look at Willie Bouwmans and his yellow cherries and Dutch apricots.

The people working at Rungis, are very accessible; we can discuss well with them and they're always available. Also their range is very wide.

Fortunately, there’s a constant supply at Rungis, because we sometimes need three hundred kohlrabi. Not just for De Librije, but also for Bar Senang: fruit and vegetables are wel represented on the menu there too.
